My first album born of the insistence of my best friend/wife Julie. Songs were written from 1972 (singing softly) to 2001 (sing me home) and were born of friendships from Camp Akita, Common Ground, and the Kansas Mennonite years.

Phil is a singer-songwriter whose roots go back to the sixties folk era. His songs are flavored by the styles of Dylan, Paxton, Prine. Some of his more recent work has political and religious energy inspired by Phil Ochs and Leonard Cohen. He has been back in Ohio now for more than a decade and is playing regularly in a duo called Sour Cherry Pie with his talented bass playing buddy Steve Rolfe. ... more
